The series gets points for creativity by introducing Jonah Hex through this weird western tale via Ra's al Ghul flashback. That being said, this portrayal of Hex didn't do much to win me over as a fan of the bounty hunter or his ugly mug.
I did enjoy the steampunk aspect of the flying airship and some of the swashbuckling elements, but found it difficult to really care about the story. And ultimately, the reveal that Arkady Duvall was Ra's son was a bit of a wet noodle. I mean, who cares?
